Support the 26th District

Support the 26th District
The Issue
As Philadelphia is under attack and the Philadelphia Police Department was abandoned by Mayor Kenney and the Police Commissioner, these officers continued to go out there day in and day out and protect this city as best they could, without the support or resources from this Administration.
Meanwhile, the transient squatters in a certain section of our city have taken aim at the Men and Women of the Philadelphia Police 26th District and their Captain, Cpt. Fisher.
The Actions and Demeanor in which the group of Men and Women from Fishtown conducted themselves on Monday can be deemed disgraceful. Did they have the right intention of coming and protecting their lifelong neighborhood and helping the police? Absolutely. Unfortunately, they went about it completely wrong, by brandishing weapons and their racial slurs.
However, let’s not forego blame and accountability for the actions and words of the “protestors” who egged on the crowd by calling them racists and dirtballs as well as the endless social media posts doing the same.
With that, lets stand behind our Police Department, especially Cpt. Fisher and the 26th District and let them know that we support and appreciate their undying commitment to the residents of Fishtown and let City Hall know that a group of transients do not speak for the masses of lifelong Fishtown and their families.
