Petition Background (Preamble): We are making this petition in order to save and reinstate Dr. Gail Avicolli to the Principal's position at PPACS, and have her continue in her previous capacity. She has built a very close bond with her students, teachers, and parents. She is an asset to the school. Dr. Avicolli's desire was never to retire. There is no better liaison between the administration, the families and students than Dr. Avicolli. Dr. Avicolliis a hard working woman, dedicated educational specialist, and highly qualified. She deserves to be able to keep her position and deserves the opportunity to finish what she started because she is a determined educator and principal and loves to work with the community and our children. We are speaking on her behalf because our children's voices need to be heard! PPACS students adore and respect her and could not stand to see her lose her job just because the current administration feels she is a hindrance to the budget. Quite the contrary, she is a major asset and should not be a budgetary cut. Every class, student, and parent are extremely saddened to see her removed from her position, and if she leaves us now, all of her students hearts will be broken, and the backbone of our school community will be removed. She built our school community from the ground up. We strongly believe that our children are tremendously affected by her absence. The school's administration is letting us down by taking her away from us. The lacklusterperformance at this year's Spring Concert was only magnified by Dr. Avicolli's absence. The business affairs of the school, be that what they may, should not reduce the quality of our children's education. Dr. Avicolli's presence and continued leadership is paramount to the children's education and to the confidence of the parents who decide to send their children to PPACS. We will do all that we can to get this petition signed by all of the student body's parents and have her reinstated. United we stand, divided we fall and we will continue to fight this injustice to the end because we have faith in Dr. Avicolli and she deserves to be here. We support her in her desire to remain part of PPACS administration and a consulting faculty member. We have total faith that you recognize the magnitude of this situation and bring her back to our school. We need to bring this to fruition. Maybe it was not understood by the administration that her presence is vital to us ,the parents, and to the faith of our children. We want to know this will be approved for the current school year. We the parents are extremely disconcerted that this decision was made to terminate Dr. Avicolli without any discussion prior to or subsequent to her dismissal. We feel deceived by this discretion and are determined to keep Dr. Avicolli on, and we will do everything in our power to save her position in our school. Petition: We the parents of PPACS children beseech the administration to keep Dr. Avicolli at PPACS. Dr. Avicolli is a very good principal and deserves to be treated with respect. She has taken our school PPACS to a whole other level of learning and by maintaining her position the children would get better scores on our exams, have better classes and performances for the present and future students at PPACS. This petition is a symbol of our respect loyalty and support for Dr. Avicolli.
