Recent sightings of the long abandoned “Meglio Furs” located at Broad and Wharton (1300 S. Broad St) being cleaned out has South Philly talking. 

The building sitting empty may have some changes coming soon after sitting empty for a number of years. 

This is a proposal to keep and restore the sign that sits with the very few left on Broad Street. (Other great signs include The Dolphin, Boot and Saddle, Philips Restaurant - offering free air conditioning! Bambi cleaners, and the Broad Street Diner) 

Let us not forget our loss a few years back of the iconic “King of Jeans” sign taken down from the East Passyunk facade in 2015 when new retail space/apartment buildings were built in the empty space
