***Some of the feedback we've heard is that people feel defeated by a city that prioritizes a developer's profit over people. We want to take a moment to remind everyone of HOW MUCH you have accomplished:

This month alone, three of our major demands have been met
1. The building permit was denied by L&I for fire safety
2. We JUST received the full Phase I and Phase II Environmental Reports. (This is amazing as Callahan Ward has firmly denied giving them to us multiple times, once stating "No, developers NEVER release their environmental reports")
3. Callahan Ward will meet with the community, share their designs, take feed back and answer questions.

ALL POWER TO THE PEOPLE! We can WIN this! <3

NHCD Demands for this lot:
Nothing can move forward without learning the full toxin report and safety of this site.  If proper testing and remediation is done, the only appropriate project for this flag lot is a single family residential home that is affordable— anything more goes against the wishes of the community

  • No overbuild
  • Affordable housing (defined by the community)
  • Fire safety
  • Additional environmental testing of the soil- Although we have received the Phase I and II reports, these reports failed to fully address the soil and our safety concerns.

SEE YOU THERE!!
