Short and illegal dumping is getting out of control in Philadelphia. As a community organizer who spends time cleaning my community, it's very frustrating to do a clean up and less than 24 hours later someone dumps again. We need our elected officials to join the movement and act now. All around Philadelphia there are well known illegal dump sites, we need to #ADDCAMERASNOW. We need cameras with motion sensitive lights that come on and starts recording as soon as someone is within 10 feet. Catching the dumpers and given out fines starting at $5,000 would shift the mind sets of anyone thinking about dumping. The time is now for everyone in Philadelphia to live on a clean block. It's time for people in positions of power to do and not say! We as community can not wait any longer. What hope can people have, when as soon as you clean your block its dirty again the next week. We need to be able to trust our politicians that they are willing to fight for what's best for us. There is one spot in particular that needs cameras right now. 3rd and Somerville in North Philadelphia. Please help me get cameras added here first and then all over the city. We have to make this a priority. We need cameras and we need them now!
