Dear Parents, Families, and Friends,

The State of New Jersey has informed us that they plan to eliminate 100% of the funds that support our Youth leadership Development programs. If this occurs, all of our funded organized recreational activities for our youth will be eliminated. Our community will lose a program that has spent the past 40+ years creating memorable experiences for thousands of families while promoting the positive physical and emotional health of all involved. This means an end for Youth Basketball, Little League Baseball and Softball, Spirit Squad, Cross Country, Clinics, Volunteerism, and so much more.  

We urge you, our extended family, to give your passion, love, and time (as you always have) and help us save our program. We are asking that you please write an email expressing how The North Ward Center Youth Leadership Development program has impacted you, your children, the community, family, friends, etc.

These notes would go a long way towards making the state realize the importance of organized youth recreational activities in the City of Newark. Our kids need these programs the most.
