MSNBC: STOP SELLING GUEST SPOTS; FIRE CHRIS MATTHEWS

MSNBC’s Chris Matthews, long known as a left-wing partisan, has been prostituting himself and his program “Hardball”. He has been selling appearances to politicians and other newsmakers ever since his wife, Kathleen, announced last year that she was running for Congress.
Talk about “pay for play”! Evidently, if you are a Democrat and want to go on “Hardball”, there is a price. Mrs. Matthew’s congressional campaign has been given $79,050 (as of December 31st, the most-recent cut-off date for her campaign disclosure forms) by 48 guests. Individuals are limited by law to gifts of no more than $2,700. “If you want to be on my show, you have to give to Kathleen’s campaign,” or so Matthews must have said.
MSNBC and its parent, NBC, shouldn’t permit this kind of extortion. Its unethical. Its illegal. The feds will undoubtedly investigate and prosecute this petty chicanery. But they may wait until after Hillary is indicted. Meanwhile, unlike Hillary, Matthews is on NBC’s payroll. That should stop today!
NBC did the right thing when Brian Williams got caught. Now its Chris Matthew’s turn. He should be fired immediately, and we call upon Phil Griffin and Andrew Lack to hold Matthews to the same standard to which Williams was held: FIRE CHRIS MATTHEWS TODAY!
