It is a basic human right for any individual to change any law that affects anyone else. 

We from the Facebook group in collaboration with the Facebook group NZ Lesbian Social Group believe that in celebration of 125 years of suffrage in New Zealand we must start to eliminate patronising sex-based exemptions from the Human Rights Act and all other laws, policies, notices, signage, posters and even eliminate the thoughts of others.

Sex-based exemptions are boring and out of date.  We have come a long way since women gained the right to vote in New Zealand and we demand the right to eliminate all boundaries that prevent males from entering our spaces, competing with us in sport, caring for our elderly mothers, applying to women-only shortlists, getting our scholarships and counselling us in rape and domestic violence support groups.

We especially believe that excluding anyone from your dating pool is exclusionary, yukky and not post-modern enough for a progressive, woke society that values equality. 

All barriers that promote the inequality of the sexes must be abolished - starting with protections in law set up to equalise the sexes.
