The Golf-in Details

If you care about Paint Branch, plan to be there. Bring friends and family.

The purpose of the meeting will be to update everybody on what is happening, hand out some information (status and contact data), and exchange ideas and opinions as a group.

Please be sure to be at the Paint Branch course BEFORE 2 pm. We suggest that you come early and use the driving range to hit a few balls, use the chip and putt area, or putting green to fill in any spare time (hence “Golf-in”). Perhaps play a round of golf after.

It will be a mask-required, socially distanced event held outdoors. Be mindful that we have not slain the delta variant completely yet. We suggest that if you are not vaccinated – don’t come. We will not be providing food or drinks, but you can get something in the Pro shop. They also have restrooms.

There is a golfing event going on until about 1:30 – 2:00 pm, so parking may be tight. Please car-pool if you can. If there are no spaces left, I suggest you park along the access road on the right (east) next to the netting or on the left (west) side next to the pond (nose-in will accommodate more cars). Do not block the access road.

It would be neat if you could make up a placard with some slogan on it. When you have parked your car, attach the placard to the side - that would be most noticeable by any passersby. Some suggestions (I am sure you can do much better):

If you know any members of the press or local government, please invite them. This is going to be a big deal.

We will have a letter to send to the various people in the decision loop for this project. Please sign it. Also, we want to hear your opinion. Voice your opinion to the crowd or write us some notes in a comments book we will have available.

 We will end the event at about 3 pm (depends on exactly when we start it). Please take any litter or trash home with you. We want to keep Paint Branch beautiful.
