Finnegan's installed its outdoor parklette earlier this year and it quickly has become a hot spot of Novato. Live music and laughter are filling Grant Avenue and filing other restaurants and businesses as well. 

The city of Novato now wants to have Finnegan’s alter the structure and have half of it as public space, where no food or drinks will be served. 

This summer, I have personally spent more time in the downtown area than I have in all the years I’ve lived here. Something like this has breathed life into the downtown and made it exciting again. 

I am collecting signatures to present to the Novato city council to stop the change to the Finnegan’s patio area. Let’s encourage places like this in our town.
