Stop Animal mills! THE TRUTH BEHIND PETSMART AND PETCO!
The Issue
What’s the first thought that comes to mind when you hear the words, “Puppy Mill”? The majority of people hear and think death, abuse, and neglect. Petsmart and Petco BOTH have a terrifying, bone-chilling secret.
Believe it or not Petsmart and Petco both buy animals, such as rodents, dogs, cats, reptiles, amphibians, and fish, from Mills. Investigators from the PETA have gone into these mills and have gotten evidence and have described it as “One floor was splattered in blood after cats were allowed to jump in and out of the crates and attack animals”. They also discovered hundreds of rabbits, with multiple packed like food in a single crate which was caked in feces and dead rabbits. This doesn’t just go on for rabbits, but with many other abused and neglected animals, treated like objects.
As the PETA investigators were inspecting, they had found a very sick rabbit whom in which was reported to the manager. The manager did nothing about it and the rabbit died later that day. They had also reported that in one day, at least 4 rabbits died in horrible conditions. Investigators also witnessed literal piles of newborn mice thrown on top of each other in a box, calling out for their mothers. The investigators described a bin they had found that “smelled of death and excrement, and was labeled ‘Freeze’”
The investigators had also found cages with little to no food that had dozens of animals in a single cage, and once someone put only a few drops of water/food in a bowl, they would go on a “frenzy”.
”In another incident, 50 small animals were piled into a cooler filled with feces and gassed.”-The Dodo
The two petstores had also returned sick animals to the mill, which were not only put in conditions that made them more sick, but were left to die with no treatment. And it’s not just this one mill, it’s ALL mills.
Approximately 2 1/2 years ago, I had bought a beautiful corn snake, but then to find it sick and dead the very next day. I had fed him, gave him water, and everything he needed. But he only lasted a day. Snakes can last without food and water for months, so the conditions this snake was put in before, were unimaginable. -RIP Ekans�.
