Create better living conditions for pets looking to be adopted.

Create better living conditions for pets looking to be adopted.
The Issue
I am hoping this petition will ensure traders/charities/shop owners will keep animals in appropriate conditions whilst they are looking for adoption.
The rabbit welfare association suggest a rabbit should be housed in a hutch 3m x 2m by 1m high for them to live comfortably and have the space to run around alongside a large run area.
On visiting pets at home lincoln south branch I noticed a small black rabbit in a tiny space, this rabbit would have only managed one hop and could lay down but not display any naturals behaviours of a rabbit.
If the rabbit was up for sale he/she would have to be provided legally with enough room and space to live comfortably but as he/she is up for adoption there is a large grey area. I would like this petition to clear up the grey area and ensure everyone is accountable for the conditions these pets are living in.
Leaving a rabbit in small areas can lead to many health problems such as obesity and spinal deformity. It can also lead onto depression and behavioural issues that will be unknown to the new adopters.
