Petland is the only chain of pet stores that sells puppies and kittens however they source their puppies and kittens from unethical breeding facilities known as puppy mills.  They also train their employees to lie about where these animals come from. Also not to mention the first (and only) time I visited a Petland store in Iowa City, IA the whole store reeked of animal urine, the puppies and kittens were in small kennels with wire floors, and they had matted fur and crusty eyes. There have also been several reports of people buying sick animals from these stores. This needs to stop other pet store chains such as Petco and Petsmart promote animal adoption and partner with local shelters and rescue groups and it's time for a change ADOPT DON'T SHOP!
