Petition to the U.S. Government: End U.S. Military Aid to Israel and Hold the Government A

The Issue

To the U.S. Congress, President Biden, and the Department of Defense,

We, the undersigned, demand the immediate cessation of U.S. military aid to Israel and insist that the U.S. government hold Israel accountable for the documented war crimes it is committing against Palestinians. The continued funding and support of Israel, while it carries out a genocidal campaign in Gaza, is an affront to international law and human rights. As U.S. taxpayers, we refuse to have our dollars used to finance the mass slaughter of innocent civilians and the destruction of a people.

FACTS:

The true death toll is devastating – The accumulative effects of Israel’s war on Gaza could bring the total death toll to more than 186,000 people, according to a study published in The Lancet. This includes not only those killed in direct airstrikes but also the many who will die due to the destruction of critical infrastructure, lack of medical care, and starvation.
Mass slaughter since October 7 – Since Israel launched its military offensive following Hamas’ deadly attacks, more than 38,000 Palestinians have been killed, according to Gaza’s Ministry of Health. These aren’t just numbers—these are families, children, civilians being wiped off the map. The overwhelming majority of these victims are not combatants, but innocent people caught in Israel’s indiscriminate bombing campaign.

Targeting civilians – Israel has bombed homes, hospitals, schools, and refugee camps. Entire neighborhoods have been leveled, and critical infrastructure has been deliberately destroyed. This goes beyond “collateral damage”—these are intentional attacks on civilian targets. Israel’s use of

“Where’s Daddy?” and “Lavender” Ai technology to track and kill Palestinians, including when they are at home with their families, is barbaric and designed to maximize suffering.

Medical infrastructure obliterated – Gaza’s hospitals are being overwhelmed or outright destroyed by Israel’s bombings, making it impossible for those injured to receive adequate care. The World Health Organization has repeatedly condemned the targeting of medical facilities, yet Israel continues to bomb hospitals, including the Al-Ahli Hospital massacre, which killed hundreds.

Deliberate starvation – Israel’s complete blockade of Gaza, cutting off food, water, and electricity, has left 2.3 million people—over half of them children—facing starvation and dehydration. This siege strategy is a direct violation of the Geneva Conventions and amounts to collective punishment, which is illegal under international law. Starving a civilian population into submission is not just immoral—it’s a war crime.

U.S. complicity through military aid – The United States provides Israel with $3.8 billion annually in military aid, making it the largest recipient of U.S. foreign assistance. These funds are being used to buy the very weapons that are leveling Gaza and committing acts of genocide. The blood of thousands of innocent Palestinians is on our hands.

Sanctions for Palestinians, not for war crimes – Your administration recently sanctioned Samidoun, a Palestinian prisoner support network, while turning a blind eye to Israel’s documented war crimes. You have imposed sanctions on Russia, Venezuela, and Iran, but when Israel uses U.S. weapons to commit genocide, you send more funds and resources. This double standard is not only appalling—it makes the U.S. government complicit in war crimes.
OUR DEMANDS:

Immediate halt of all U.S. military aid to Israel – Stop the billions of taxpayer dollars going to fund a regime that is actively committing genocide and violating international law. The U.S. should not bankroll a state that slaughters civilians and systematically destroys a people.
End U.S. complicity in war crimes – Demand accountability from Israel for its violations of human rights, including the deliberate targeting of civilians, the use of AI technology to create “kill lists,” and the starvation and siege of Gaza. The U.S. cannot continue to support a state that operates with impunity.
Sanction Israel for war crimes – If the U.S. is serious about upholding international law, it must impose sanctions on Israel for its repeated war crimes. No state should be above the law, and Israel’s actions warrant immediate international condemnation and consequences.

Humanitarian aid for Gaza – The U.S. must immediately divert funds from military aid to Israel to humanitarian aid for Gaza. The people of Gaza are facing unspeakable horrors—starvation, lack of medical care, and relentless bombing. If the U.S. claims to stand for human rights, it must act now to save lives.

Investigate U.S. military assistance – We demand a full investigation into how U.S. military aid is being used by Israel to commit war crimes and atrocities. U.S. taxpayers have the right to know how their dollars are contributing to mass slaughter, and we demand full transparency.

CONCLUSION:

The U.S. government’s unyielding support for Israel as it commits genocide against Palestinians is a gross violation of international law and an ethical disaster. The blood of thousands of innocent people is on our hands, and it’s time for this government to answer for it. We, the undersigned, demand an end to all military aid to Israel, sanctions for its war crimes, and an immediate shift toward supporting the victims of these atrocities, not their oppressors.

This petition demands accountability, justice, and an end to U.S. complicity in the slaughter of innocent Palestinians
