Hey Everyone! 

Just an update on everything that is going on since the petition for Rio Seco started. We did/didn't get the subject of unprofessional conduct and conflict of interest between an administrator and staff memeber on the agenda. Because of all that has come to light over the last couple months, a change should be happening to the conflict of interest policy that is already in place for the district, and that is what they put on the agenda to discuss.

Now myself and Heather Wooding had the opportunity to have a meeting with the Superintendent and the board president about this. They did explain, and maybe a lot of us don't know, because I did not know, is that they do have a form to file a formal complaint that you can get at the district office, fill it out and turn it in to them there. With that they review the formal complaints and have an investigation. As this is not exactly what we want with everything that we have been trying to change, it is a start in the right direction. The board meeting is tomorrow, we have decided not to have a rally at this time, BUT now is the time to come and speak out and although they might not be able to comment on things that are not on the agenda, I believe they are listening now and will hear us louder if we come forward and if we start filing our formal complaints to the district. We are not done, we are still wanting change and we will not give up on that!

The board meeting is tomorrow August 5th at 6pm, you will need to fill out a comment card and turn it in to speak during public communications, you have 3 minutes to speak 🥰
