We, the undersigned members of the community, are standing together in support of Shrader’s Goods, a small family-owned business that is currently facing a dispute with the city regarding certain logos and signage displayed at the shop.

For 17 years, Shrader’s Goods has served this community with hard work, dedication, and pride. This business is more than just a storefront — it is part of the neighborhood’s identity and a reflection of the people who built it from the ground up.

Like many mom-and-pop shops, the owners have invested countless hours, personal sacrifices, and their own savings into keeping their doors open. They are not a large corporation with endless legal resources. They are local small-business owners simply trying to continue serving the community they love.

We understand the importance of city regulations and community standards. However, we also believe there should be fairness, communication, and reasonable solutions when dealing with small independent businesses. Heavy penalties, forced removals, or actions that threaten the future of a family-owned shop can have devastating consequences for the people behind the business.

This petition is not about conflict — it is about asking for understanding, compromise, and support for a local business that has contributed positively to the community for years.

We respectfully ask the city to:

Work collaboratively with the owners of Shrader’s Goods

Seek a fair and reasonable resolution regarding the logos/signage in question 

Avoid actions that could unnecessarily harm or shut down this small business 

Recognize the value that local family-owned businesses bring to our neighborhood 

We also ask community members to stand behind Shrader’s Goods during this difficult time and show support for local businesses that make our community unique.

Small businesses are the heart of our neighborhoods. Once they are gone, they are often gone forever.

Please help us protect Shrader’s Goods and encourage a fair resolution that supports both the community and the small-business owners who serve it every day.
