Petition to Support New Local Business in CARE/Butcher's Hill Area

The Issue

As residents/neighbors of the Butcher's Hill/CARE/North Patterson Park region, we are deeply committed to the growth and prosperity of our community. Our community must encourage new local businesses so that we thrive and move forward.

One such opportunity lies with Jeryl Cole, who plans to open a higher-end liquor store/restaurant at 2200 E. Fayette Street (corner of North Collington Street and Fayette Street) in Baltimore, MD.

This venture promises economic growth and contributes towards diversifying our local business landscape. However, this potential can only be realized if a full "BD-7 Beer, Wine and Liquor" liquor license is granted to Mr. Cole.

Mr. Cole already has a thriving business on Eastern Ave called Off the Rox (District 46). We are excited to see him bring a similar vibe and energy to the Butcher's Hill/North Patterson Park/CARE communities.

According to the Small Business Administration (SBA), small businesses like Mr. Cole's proposed store create two-thirds of net new jobs in the U.S., driving economic growth and community development (source: SBA).

Let's rally behind Jeryl Cole's project -- a step toward fostering new entrepreneurship and strengthening our local economy.
