Petition to Support Club America a Turning Point USA Club at Fort Lee High School

The Issue

We, the undersigned parents and guardians of students at Fort Lee High School, respectfully request that our school recognize and support the establishment of a Club America a Turning Point USA (TPUSA) chapter as an official student club.  A club advisor will be leading and supervising the club so there will be no hate speech or encouragement of violence allowed or tolerated.

Purpose of the Club:

To provide students with a forum to engage in open, respectful discussion on topics such as civic responsibility, constitutional principles, free markets, and individual liberty.
To promote critical thinking, leadership skills, and community involvement.
To offer students the opportunity to participate in national networks of student leaders and educational programs.
Why It Matters:

High school is a critical time for students to learn about civic engagement and explore diverse perspectives.
TPUSA is a recognized student organization nationwide, and participation can provide students with unique educational and leadership opportunities.
Allowing students to form a Club America club supports their constitutional rights to free speech and freedom of association within the guidelines of the school.
Our Request:
We ask that the administration and school board:

Approve Club America as an official student club at Fort Lee Highschool.
Provide the same resources and recognition as other extracurricular clubs (e.g., meeting space, faculty sponsor, and activity participation).
Affirm the school’s commitment to fostering an environment of inclusivity and respect where students can exchange ideas freely.
By signing below, we affirm our support for the creation of Club America at Fort Lee High School and urge the administration to grant students this opportunity.
