Our community is making headlines. Just this week, neighbors lined Salisbury Street with bold signs reading:

“Toxic Site — SK hynix doesn’t have to be HERE.”

At the same time, lawsuits challenging the rezoning are moving forward. A critical hearing is set for Tuesday, Sept. 23 at 3pm in Tippecanoe Circuit Court. This is our chance to show the City and the Court that West Lafayette residents will not be ignored.

SK hynix claimed in May that they wanted to be a “good neighbor.” But since then, they’ve done nothing to prove it. No listening, no respect for residents, no action for safety. A good neighbor keeps their word — SK hynix has already shown they are not one. A big liar without credibility, and not welcome in West Lafayette.

As one article covering the protests put “The lawsuits are still very much active … and the city council has the ability to vote on this again.”

Join us Sept. 23 – Seating inside the courtroom is extremely limited, but the group outside will be powerful. Bring a foldable protest sign or we will provide one and stand with neighbors for a peaceful demonstration of visible opposition from 2 to 4 pm.
