Tauranga City Council have been fluoridating our water supply since October 2024, in compliance with a directive from a former Director General of Health. Councillors have advised residents that it would be illegal to not add Hydrofluorosilicic Acid to our water, so they had no choice but to do so, in spite of many of them not wanting to.
The Ministry of Health were wrong about Lead, Mercury and Asbestos. Fluoride is the latest on the list.
We would like a precautionary approach to be applied. Fluoridation should be halted until an Independent Public Enquiry into Fluoridation is completed.

We wish to:

1. Advise Tauranga City Council that we do not want Hydrofluorosilicic Acid added to our water.
2. Call on Tauranga City Council to request the Ministry of Health initiates an Independent Public Enquiry into Fluoridation.
3. Call on Tauranga City Council to write to the current Director General of Health, asking them to suspend the directives to fluoridate.
