Further to my first post on St Pat's Quarter here, below are more facts from the Parish office. ( protected by the whistle blower clause and Canon 212.)

St Pat's Quarter and the Parish: Fact 1
Soon after the announcement of St Pat's Quarter by CEDP, Fr Bob approached the Diocese and voiced his disappointment in the lack of communication and dialogue with the parish.
Chancery and CEDP representatives were invited to a parish meeting which Berni Ching has mentioned in article below.
Following that meeting Fr Bob appointed Silvana Rechichi, Frank Duff and Ian Gilbertson to a project working group to consult between the Diocese and the Parish regarding the St Pat's Quarters.
In August 2018, Fr Bob and I met with the Bishop and the Chief of Operation and Finance of the Diocese in the Chancery. We spoke with the Bishop regarding the parish view on St Pat's Quarters, that is the lack of consultation with the parish.
The Bishop told us firmly that the development will not include Marist Place. The Diocese will relook at the plan to only involve the overflow carpark. He was sympathetic to our concern and reminded us that Marist Place is not Marist Place for nothing. It is our history. He told us to write to the parishioners and tell them this decision. Fr Bob did just as the Bishop asked.. The Finance Committee and the Parish was told in August 2018 that we will not be losing our parish office, presbytery and hall.
End.
