Petition to Save Mahavir Ji Mandir (Pahariwala), GK-1 🕉️

 

Dear Devotees, Donors and Supporters,

 

Mahavir Ji Mandir (Pahariwala) in Greater Kailash-1, is a cherished Hindu temple, a place of heritage, and a community landmark established in 1960 on ” Donated Land” for the temple and other charitable activities. Its existence is under threat now from potential demolition. So far, gradually the structures in the periphery of the main temple have been demolished under the nose of it’s trust, “Shree MahavirJi Trust Regd,” and the Trust has failed to provide an appropriate reply for the demolition activities. The trust, which is responsible for maintaining the existence of the temple has even approached DDA under Master Plan 2041. We urgently need your support to protect and preserve this sacred temple.

📜 Petition Text:

"We, the undersigned, request the immediate intervention of authorities & government bodies, which have been approached by the “Shree Mahavir Ji Trust Regd, under the Master Plan 2041 by inappropriate representations. Simultaneously, seeking the intervention of the devotees, donors and supporters for stopping the activities. The existence of “Shree Mahavir Ji Mandir (Pahariwala), GK-1” in the near future is under potential threat. 

This is a direct threat to a Hindu Temple. Therefore, the support is required for:

1. An immediate stop to all unauthorized activities and potential demolitions in the periphery and to the main temple.

2. Preservation and restoration of the temple's sacred structures.

3. Seeking clarifications from the Trustees – “not known to the public” the purpose of their representation before DDA for the Master Plan 2041.

4. Proper representation of locals/residents and devotees in the management of the temple trust.

5. Transparency and accountability in the temple trust’s decisions and activities.

 

We urge all concerned competent authorities to take swift action to protect “Shree Mahavir Ji Mandir” and from the supporters by signing this petition for this united movement. We also request the restoration of all activities currently stopped at the Mandir/halls that have been ongoing for the past 60 years and restoration of the structures already illegally demolished viz. Dharamshala, Gaushala, free OPD, public bathrooms, and staff quarters.
