Lake County California has been desimated in the past 6 plus years by Wildfire. We have experienced death, destruction, and whole neighborhoods wiped out by these fires. Forests have been completely destroyed never to return in our lifetime. The Valley Fire, the Camp Fire, The Lower Lake Fire, the list goes on and on. 

Konocti Fire Lookout is an essential Early Warning Fire Fighting tool, managed by Calfire. Since 2021, Calfire has received over $160 million dollars to repair its infrastructure.  Today, Calfire does not want to repair Konocti Fire Lookout, and put it back into service. They do not believe Konocti Lookout, manned with trained volunteers, at no cost to them, is an effective Fire fighting tool. In 2022, at the beginning of Fire Season, Konocti Fire Lookout has at least two FIRST reports of smoke. That is two more possible wildfires that were extinguished early because of Konocti Fire Lookout and it's Lake County volunteers.

Please join me, sign this petition, stating to Senator Mike McGuire, Mike Marcucci - Calfire, Paul Duncan - Calfire, and the Lake County Board of Supervisors, that Konocti-lookout is an essential Fire Fighting tool and we want it repaired!
