A good number of petitions are some sort of complaint, but this is not going to be one. Babbel is a global behemoth in language learning, and they had a service called Babbel Live, which will be terminated on July 1, 2025, for B2C customers. Some folks have been upset with Mr. Markus Witte, the new CEO, for this B2C Babbel Live closure. However, may I point out that Mr. Markus Witte is not only the CEO but also the co-founder of Babbel. Therefore, it was Mr. Markus Witte who gave us Babbel Live for so many years since it started in 2021. I am wholeheartedly grateful to Markus Witte for giving us Babbel Live for all those years!

The name of this website is "Change" and not "Blame," so that is what the petition is about. Mr. Markus Witte, what happened, happened; now let us look at the future. If you can look into any possibility of reviving Babbel Live for B2C customers, please do that. The live teaching is a niche, but sometimes such niches can be made into big businesses, which you did with the group classes in Babbel Live for almost three years. If you could do that, then you can do it now!

Babbel Live was not just about language learning, but it was also about a community of people getting together to share camaraderie while learning a new language. Babbel has always promoted itself as a community-first company, and they aligned with that image perfectly throughout this journey. Just this decision of restricting Babbel Live to just B2B customers is seemingly off your image of the community-first brand. I hope that you revisit your decision by looking at the number of people, both teachers and students, reaching out to you for Babbel Live!

There might be grievances in the comment section of this petition because some people were upset with this decision. However, as the petition creator, I have made my warm and approachable perspective clear. Let us collaborate and find a beautiful path for all of us.
