Petition to Review the Sale and Potential Closure of West Alley BBQ in the 9th District.

We, the undersigned residents and supporters of the 9th District of Arizona,  have serious concerns about conflicts of interest and the transparency of this process, particularly given that the prospective buyer(s) include individuals who are currently minority owners. We believe that all aspects of this sale must be conducted openly, fairly, and with full disclosure.

West Alley BBQ has been a cherished part of Chandler’s downtown culture, serving as a beloved gathering place that has greatly contributed to our community’s character and economy. Its loss would be a blow to our local businesses and residents.

We call upon community leaders to ensure a comprehensive review of this sale—one that guarantees transparency and fairness throughout the entire process. We urge that all bidding groups, including those from West Alley BBQ, be treated equally, with no preferential treatment or unfair advantages. 

Our community’s voice is powerful, and we stand united in demanding an equitable, transparent, and just process—one that truly reflects the interests of Chandler’s residents and preserves the legacy of West Alley BBQ.
