Petition to Restore the Set-Apart Names of YHWH and His Son in the Covenant Record

Petition to Restore the Set-Apart Names of YHWH and His Son in the Covenant Record

The Issue

**Petition for the Restoration of the True Names of the Father and the Messiah**

We, the undersigned, stand in reverence and truth, calling for the restoration of the sacred, unaltered Names of the Most High and His Son in Scripture, worship, and daily life.

We affirm that the Creator of Heaven and Earth has a Name—revealed in the Hebrew form as YHWH ( YAHUAH)—and that this Name has, over time, been replaced, obscured, or substituted with titles such as “Lord” and “God.” While these titles may describe authority, they do not preserve the fullness of His revealed identity.

We also affirm that where titles are used in translation, they should reflect their original meaning as accurately as possible. For example, terms such as **“Master”** may more closely convey certain original meanings than the generalized use of “Lord.” Therefore, we call for both restoration and accuracy in translation, not substitution that conceals identity.

We further affirm that the Son was given a specific Name with divine purpose and meaning. We recognize this Name in its Hebrew form as YAHUSHA and we believe it should be acknowledged, preserved, and made known rather than replaced through translation or cultural adaptation.

We affirm that terms such as “Christ” are translated titles, while **“Messiah”** more accurately reflects the meaning of “the Anointed One.” Titles should not replace or obscure the given Name of the Son.

We also acknowledge the Ruach HaKodesh, the Set-Apart Spirit of YHWH, who leads into all truth and brings His Name to remembrance. As the Ruach convicts and guides, many are being drawn back to the original Names and covenant record, which this petition seeks to honor in the written text.**

We believe this matters.

A Name is identity. A Name is covenant. A Name is relationship.
To remove, replace, or obscure the Name is to distance people from the personal nature of the Father and the Son.

**This petition is not an attack on those who sincerely call upon “Jesus Christ.”**
It is a formal notice and request on behalf of those who are being called back to the Hebrew roots and the original covenant record—those who desire to honor **YHWH**( YAHUAH)  and His Son by their Scriptural Names rather than later titles and translations.

We are not making this call out of division, but out of reverence.
We are not rejecting Scripture, but seeking its fullness.
We are not led by tradition, but by a desire to return to what is original and set apart.

Therefore, we petition:

* That the Name YHWH and YAHUAH be restored and honored in Bible translations wherever it has been replaced with titles such as “LORD.”
* That where titles are used, they reflect the original meaning more accurately, with thoughtful consideration (such as “Master” where appropriate), rather than broad substitutions that obscure identity.
* That the Hebrew Name of the Son, **YAHUSHA**, be restored, acknowledged, and clearly presented in Scripture and teaching.
* That the distinction between **Names** and **titles** be made clear, including the understanding that “Messiah” is a title and not a replacement for the Son’s given Name.
* That terms such as “Christ” be identified as translated titles, not substitutes for the original Name.
* That readers and worshipers be given transparent access to the original Hebrew Names alongside any translations.
* That worship returns to intentional reverence, where the Names are not hidden but known, spoken, and remembered.

We stand for the fullness of truth, not partial understanding.

We call for the restoration of the Name of the Father, **YHWH**.
We call for the restoration of the Name of the Son, **YAHUSHA the Messiah**.

Let the Names be restored.
Let the Names be remembered.
Let the Names be honored as they were given.
