Petition to Restore 24-Hour Operations at 24 Hour Fitness in Altadena, CA

Petition to Restore 24-Hour Operations at 24 Hour Fitness in Altadena, CA
The Issue
To: Local/Regional Management of 24 Hour Fitness, Altadena Location 2180 Lincoln Ave. Bldg 4.
We, the undersigned members and supporters of 24 Hour Fitness, respectfully request that the Altadena location return to its original concept of being open 24 hours a day. The 24 Hour Fitness name embodies the promise of accessibility and convenience for members, regardless of their schedules. Many of us chose this gym specifically for the flexibility it provided, and the current limited hours restrict our ability to maintain our fitness routines.
Why 24-Hour Operations Matter:
1. Member Accessibility: Many members work irregular hours or have other commitments that make a traditional gym schedule inconvenient.
2. Brand Alignment: The name '24 Hour Fitness' suggests round-the-clock availability, creating an expectation that is not currently being met.
3. Community Need: A 24-hour schedule accommodates the diverse schedules of students, parents, healthcare workers, and other community members.
If returning to a 24-hour schedule is not feasible, we kindly request the following considerations:
1. Membership Discount: Offering a discount to reflect the limited operational hours would be a fair adjustment for members who cannot access the gym as expected.
2. Extended Hours: As a compromise, extending weekday and weekend hours could address the needs of members with unconventional schedules.
Suggested Hours:
Mon-Fri 4am - 12am
Sat-Sun 4am-10pm
We believe that restoring 24-hour service or offering a discount would demonstrate the gym’s commitment to its members and uphold the values that 24 Hour Fitness stands for.
We appreciate your consideration and hope to see changes that benefit the entire Altadena strong fitness community.
Sincerely,
Dedicated Members of 24 Hour Fitness (Please address responses to the Altadena strong community at large.)
