We, the undersigned residents and supporters of Burlington, NJ, respectfully request that the City of Burlington take the necessary steps to rename York Street in honor of Rev. Dr. Hilda Covington, a beloved leader, advocate, and pillar of our community.

Rev. Dr. Hilda Covington has dedicated her life to serving the people of Burlington through her tireless efforts in humanitarian work, faith-based leadership, and community empowerment. As the founder and Executive Director of SisterHood Inc., she has provided vital resources such as food, clothing, mentorship, and support to individuals and families in need. Her unwavering commitment to social justice, education, and community upliftment has transformed countless lives, making Burlington a stronger, more compassionate place for all.

Renaming York Street in her honor would be a fitting tribute to her extraordinary contributions and enduring legacy. It would serve as a daily reminder of the power of service, faith, and community, inspiring future generations to follow in her footsteps.
