To the St. Lucie County School Board and Administration,

I am the parent of a student at Lincoln Park Academy. Our school, known for being the highest performing in St. Lucie County, is currently under threat due to the leadership of Dr. Michelle Herrington. Her tenure as principal has created an environment of fear and intimidation that affects not only my child but also the entire school community. Our kids deserve better!

This petition is not only a call to action, but a place to voice your concerns and be heard by others as well. If you have personal experiences to share, and are not afraid of retaliation by Dr. Herrington, I invite you to either share them here, or by attending a St. Lucie County Board meeting and sharing them there, as other students have done already.

The Problem

Under Dr. Herrington's administration, students and faculty are living in fear. This sense of insecurity has led to a significant decline in morale in students. This hostile atmosphere is detrimental to our children's education and well-being and threatens the reputation Lincoln Park Academy has built over the years.

Many students feel their voices are not heard and fear repercussions if they express concerns. Teachers, who are the backbone of our school, are demoralized and fearful, which impacts their ability to provide a positive learning environment. Lincoln Park Academy has always been a beacon of excellence. The current leadership of Dr. Herrington threatens to dismantle the supportive and nurturing environment our school is known for. For the sake of our children and their future, we cannot let this continue.

Our Request

We urgently call for the immediate removal of Dr. Michelle Herrington as principal of Lincoln Park Academy. We need a leader who fosters a safe, supportive, and positive environment for our students and staff. Join us in demanding the change our school desperately needs.
