Dear Friend,
Recently, the President signed legislation requiring the Department of Justice to release files related to Jeffrey Epstein. On the surface, this appears to be a victory—a step toward transparency we've fought for relentlessly.
But make no mistake: THIS IS NOT OVER.
Representative Thomas Massie, one of the few members of Congress willing to stand against his own party and administration on this issue, put it perfectly: "How will we know this bill was successful? When there are rich men being perp-walked to jail, until then this is still a cover-up." [Watch his full statement here]
Here's what you need to understand: These are files the FBI already had in custody. The DOJ has possessed this evidence for years. Rep. Massie revealed that survivors identified at least 20 names of men who trafficked women and girls—names that should have led to prosecutions long ago. Instead, they've been buried in FBI files. The likelihood of prosecution remains dangerously low.
Much will remain sealed under the guise of "national security." But there has been no credible explanation for why child sex trafficking has anything to do with national security. This classification is a shield, not a safeguard.
The victims have not seen justice. Without an independent congressional commission to investigate, without real subpoena power and accountability, these files will simply be another document dump that protects the powerful while appearing to satisfy public demand.
But we have a massive opportunity ahead. Every single member of the House of Representatives is up for election in 2026. This gives us unprecedented leverage to demand pledges for a truly independent investigation—one that will ensure the powerful people who enabled this trafficking network are prosecuted and sent to prison.
Our strategy is to work with every challenger, in every competitive race, to secure those commitments. But this requires administrative coordination on a scale our volunteer base simply cannot handle without funded support.
Giving Tuesday is almost here, and we're launching our most ambitious campaign yet. Your contribution will directly fund electoral accountability campaigns, survivor advocacy, independent investigation support, and the legal and logistical infrastructure to make 2026 the year we finally get real justice.
The powerful are counting on us to accept this legislation as closure and move on.
They're wrong.
[DONATE NOW FOR GIVING TUESDAY]
This is not over. Not by a long shot. And we're not done.
In solidarity and determination,
Nick Bryant
