To: Dunbar High School Administration, District Athletic Department, and School Board

We, the undersigned, are parents, students, alumni, community members, and supporters of the Dunbar High School football program who call for the immediate reinstatement of Coach Jon Perry as Offensive Coordinator.

Coach Perry was recently removed from his position following allegations that have been proven false. Despite the resolution of this matter and the lack of wrongdoing on Coach Perry’s part, his position has not been restored — a decision that we believe is unjust, harmful, and contrary to the values of fairness and integrity that our school and district strive to uphold.

Coach Perry has been a vital part of the Dunbar football community, known for his:
• Commitment to student-athlete development both on and off the field
• Strategic excellence and leadership in offensive play-calling
• Positive mentorship and character-building influence
• Dedication to the values of sportsmanship, discipline, and academic success
• Former student-athlete and alum of Dunbar HS where he was a member of two state championships. 

The impact of his removal is already being felt in team morale, offensive cohesion, and the confidence of players and families who trusted in his leadership. To penalize a coach with no accurate information of wrongdoing sends a dangerous message — that false accusations can derail careers and disrupt communities, even when truth prevails.

We believe in due process. We believe in redemption and fairness. And we believe Coach Perry deserves to return to his role without delay.

We respectfully demand that:
1. Coach Jon Perry be reinstated immediately as Offensive Coordinator for the Dunbar High School football program.
2. A public acknowledgment be made by school or district leadership affirming his name has been cleared.
3. Measures be taken to ensure staff are protected from undue harm when false allegations are proven untrue.

Coach Perry’s reputation has been unfairly damaged, and it is the responsibility of this administration to help restore it. Let us move forward in unity, putting the well-being of our students and integrity of our program first.
