The Issue

STOP THE PROPOSED 100+ FOOT COMMUNICATIONS TOWER!

OUR HOMES. OUR SAFETY. OUR PROPERTY VALUES. OUR VOICE!

The Lakewood Municipal Utilities Authority (LMUA) is seeking zoning variances to construct a tower over 100 feet tall on Four Seasons property, immediately to the right of our ONLY entrance and exit.

THIS TOWER THREATENS OUR COMMUNITY!

SAFETY: If the tower collapses or catches fire, our only entrance and exit could be blocked, preventing residents from leaving and emergency vehicles from entering. Construction could also disrupt access.
OUR NEIGHBORS: The proposed tower would be within approximately 150 feet of homes on Silverside Drive! Even if your home is not directly affected, we must stand together to protect our neighbors from this massive structure in their backyard.
PROPERTY VALUES: A tower of this size could negatively affect our property values and destroy the beautiful appearance of our community.
WHY IS THIS TOWER NECESSARY?
The existing communications cable from the well on Four Seasons property has failed. Rather than replacing that cable through the existing conduit, LMUA wants to construct a massive tower to communicate with its tower on Shorock Street.

THERE ARE ALTERNATIVES! These include replacing the underground cable, mounting an antenna on an existing utility pole, or installing a smaller antenna structure across the street where trees would not obstruct communication.

Why should our community bear the burden of a 100+ foot tower when less intrusive alternatives may be available?

OUR GOVERNING DOCUMENTS PROTECT US!
LMUA sought Board approval for this project. However, the Board does not have the authority to expand or change property easement rights where our governing documents require a membership vote.

Our recorded Master Declaration also prohibits above-ground poles! When Four Seasons was developed, utility poles were removed and cables buried to preserve our community's beauty. We should not surrender those protections now.

TAKE ACTION NOW!
1. SIGN THE PETITION!

Help protect our homes, our neighbors, our property values, and the character of Four Seasons.

2. CALL SENATOR ROBERT SINGER!

732-987-5669

Senator Singer has been made aware of this proposal. Tell his office that you oppose construction of this tower on Four Seasons property and want less intrusive alternatives investigated.

Our residents collectively pay approximately $7 million in property taxes annually while receiving relatively few municipal services. We deserve protection of our neighborhood and property values!

3. ATTEND THE ZONING BOARD HEARING!
