Mr. President,

We, the undersigned, recognize and support actions that target the Iranian regime’s military capabilities and security apparatus. Many Iranians seek freedom from a government that has oppressed them for decades, and targeted pressure on the regime plays a role in that path.

However, we strongly urge you to avoid any strikes on civilian infrastructure, including power plants, water systems, and essential public services.

Such actions would not weaken the regime - they would:

Inflict severe hardship on ordinary Iranian citizens
Disrupt daily life for millions of families
Undermine the ability of people to organize, communicate, and pursue change
Strengthen the regime’s narrative that external forces are enemies of the Iranian people
At this critical moment, the distinction between targeting the regime and harming the population is essential.

If the goal is to support the Iranian people and their future, then actions must reflect that principle.

We respectfully call on you to:

Continue focusing on regime and military targets only
Explicitly rule out attacks on civilian infrastructure
Ensure that any actions taken do not worsen the suffering of the Iranian people
The people of Iran are not your adversaries. They are the ones who will shape the country’s future.

Stand with them — by protecting them.
