Protect Our Neighborhoods – Revoke Allure Strip Club License

The Issue

Since opening over Labor Day weekend 2018, Allure, a strip club located in the alley behind Cheshire Bridge Road at Alco Street less than 150 feet from residential homes and apartments, has become a growing threat to the safety, security and peace of mind of the surrounding residential neighborhoods.

Its rowdy patrons cause heavy congestion by parking along small side streets and create havoc in the early morning hours (Midnight to 4:00 a.m.) with extreme noise from shouting, partying, horns, car alarms, heavy bass music blaring and speeding/racing through our neighborhood's streets.  This club draws a crowd that has no regard for the privacy or condition of our property. This club ownership does nothing to stop its patrons from constantly littering private property with beer cans, liquor bottles, advertisement flyers, food containers, debris, etc. or clean up after them leaving property owners with the burden and expense of this every day nuisance. There have even been reports to 911 of gun fire around the club since it opened under this new ownership.

The citizens in these adjacent neighborhoods just want quiet, peaceful and safe places to live and raise their families. Since this club has opened, we have experienced unbelievable disruption of quiet hours resulting in constant calls to authorities (911 and Precinct 2) for support. There are small children, families and professionals who work during the day living in homes within 200 feet of the parking lot where patrons hang out after hours creating disruption after disruption that causes lack of sleep, productivity and peace of mind not to mention the worry of something worse like a stray bullet.

Because licenses for these establishments are attached their location, we, the signers of this petition, respectfully ask Atlanta Mayor Keisha Lance Bottoms and the City Council to intervene. We ask you to protect your citizens, tax payers and voters by taking immediate action to rescind the license for the property where Allure operates and prevent any further such adult entertainment establishment from being issued a license to operate in this location because it is far too close to homes/apartments where lives are being completely disrupted and placed in increasing danger by its presence.

You can stop all of this by preventing this club and any other like it from operating so close to our homes. Please take action immediately.
