OUR GOAL

 

Fulton High School, along with it’s district KCS, supports many websites for
their students. Aspen and Canvas are great examples of this. 

Yet we, the students of Fulton, propose a change. We take a step that our
district has yet to consider, and adopt Notion into major usage. With easy
grading, schedualling, co-operation, organization, and student personalization while not loosing any ease of use the Notion application is an amazing addition that should be supported by our school. 

Canvas and Google Docs are often met with constant criticism from both
students and teachers of our school due to lack of features, bugs, terrible
Student-Teacher co-operation features, and more. Notion doesn’t get these
problems from other schools that use them or users at this school.
We petition to adopt Notion into Fultons roster allowing for increase in student productivity.

 

WHY

Many reasons exist as seen above, but two stand testimony to why this is a petition.

A: By KCS policy, a request for school resources may only be made by an administrator. We students cannot, without the help of our school, easily submit our request for usage.

B: If Notion is properly adopted by teachers, anything from calanders, to research projects, to in detail character anaylisis databases can be sent from teacher to teacher, teacher to student, or student to student easily. No need to transfer the information to a different format and in process downgrade it.

Our Adoption

With a very simple interface as well as free memberships for students and teachers, Notion would be very easy to adopt, possibly taking as little as a week to properly initiate into a classroom.
