SEA Member Call for Accountability Continues to Grow

Despite all this, Ibijoke Mitzi Idowu-Holiday remains President of the Seattle Education Association.

Since our last update, KUOW Public Radio has reported that calls for Idowu's resignation are intensifying as SEA members, educators, parents, and current and former union leaders continue to speak out publicly. KUOW reports that this controversy has become a broader question of leadership and accountability within our union—not simply the underlying investigation.

As more members and community supporters add their voices, it is becoming increasingly clear that this issue will not simply disappear: SEA MEMBERS DEMAND IDOWU RESIGN IMMEDIATELY. 

We want our supporters to know that this petition is only one part of a broader effort. We will continue taking every appropriate step available to ensure SEA members are heard, that their concerns are treated with the seriousness they deserve, and that our union is led by someone who reflects the values of the educators they represent.
