For too long now, residents of Oakridge Estates have suffered from larceny, theft from vehicles,  fighting in the streets, and carport/yard thefts.

This is causing residents to suffer from anxiety at night and resentment towards a mobile home park that they feel is not taking action about the surge of criminal activity. In the past, the community had patrolling security. However, the security was cut, and the escalation of crime rates persists.

This petition is to call to attention the need for security in the park again. The residents of Oakridge Estates deserve the ability to sleep soundly at night, and go about their daily lives undisturbed. 

The sharp increase in crime across Oakridge Estates following the decision to eliminate on-site security is a serious and growing concern. Dedicated security is a fundamental service that directly impacts the safety, well-being, and property values of everyone in the community. While these essential safety measures have been cut, lot rent for Oakridge Estates residents has continued to rise year after year. Given that these ongoing rate increases should reasonably absorb standard operational and safety expenses, restoring dedicated security personnel should be managed within the current budget rather than passed along as another cost to residents. Management should reallocate existing revenue toward re-establishing security to ensure proper protection for the community.
