There is no better day than Earth Week to share this news.
The Supreme Court of The Bahamas has granted an injunction halting all dredging and related works associated with the proposed Rosewood Exuma resort at Sampson Cay, pending a full judicial review of the project's environmental approvals.
This is a significant moment, and it belongs to every person who signed this petition, shared it, and refused to stay silent.
The injunction, granted by Justice Leif Farquharson, restrains Yntegra from carrying out any works in the North Bay of Sampson Cay described in its Certificate of Environmental Clearance.
That includes dredging, land clearing, excavation, land reclamation, and the construction of marinas and the proposed industrial back-of-house dock. The judicial review challenges whether the environmental approval process was procedurally sound, including whether the public was adequately consulted and whether key environmental information was disclosed on time.

The North Bay has not been saved yet. But today, it is protected. And that matters enormously. Please keep sharing this petition and encouraging others to add their voices. The momentum we carry into this judicial review process is the momentum this community has built together.
Thank you for caring about Exuma. Today, Exuma is winning.
Sincerely,
Eric Carey
