Last week, Over Yonder Cay (OYC), a member of the Save Exuma Alliance, filed a formal appeal challenging the Town Planning Committee’s approval of the Rosewood/Yntegra Sampson Cay project.

Their lawyer argued that the approval was based on a flawed and defective process, pointing to serious concerns about fairness and transparency.

I see this appeal as a major step forward. It shows that businesses and communities are not only raising their voices through this petition and other means but also taking concrete action. 

The fight to protect Exuma is not over. And actions like this prove that Bahamians and allies are not backing down. Now I encourage you to keep speaking out and let our leaders know that this destructive project must be stopped.
