Petition to Fix Shreveport’s Water Quality

To: The Mayor of Shreveport and City Officials

We, the undersigned loyal residents and concerned individuals, urge city leadership to take immediate action to address the ongoing water quality issues in Shreveport. For too long, our homes and businesses have been plagued by water that has a strong, unpleasant smell and taste of dirt or soil. This issue is not only affecting the daily lives of residents but is also noticed by visitors, giving our city a negative reputation.

The water quality concerns are making it difficult for residents to drink and cook with tap water, and local restaurants are facing challenges as customers struggle with the taste and odor. Access to clean, safe, and odor-free water is a basic necessity and an expectation for any thriving community.

We call on the city to:

1. Conduct a thorough investigation into the source of the water quality issues, and safety. 

2. Implement effective and timely solutions to ensure our water meets acceptable health and taste standards.

3. Keep residents informed and involved in the progress of these improvements.

Shreveport deserves better. We deserve clean, safe, and great-tasting water in our homes, businesses, and public spaces. Please take urgent action to restore confidence in our city’s water supply.
