We, the undersigned residents and supporters of the Foggy Bottom / West End neighborhood, respectfully petition for the creation of a community garden at 26th Street Park.

A thoughtfully developed community garden at this location would provide local residents with space to grow fresh produce, foster environmental sustainability, and encourage community connection. The garden would also offer opportunities for education, outdoor activity, and beautification of an underutilized green space.

We believe this initiative aligns with the city’s goals of supporting healthy living, sustainability, and community engagement. With your support, this project could transform 26th Street Park into a vibrant, shared space that reflects the values and interests of our neighborhood.

We urge the Foggy Bottom Association, DC City Council, the Department of Parks and Recreation, and other relevant offices to support and help facilitate the planning, approval, and establishment of this community garden.

Sincerely,
The undersigned residents and community supporters
