Petition to Ensure Fair Treatment and Equitable Taxation for Daytona North Residents
The Issue
Flagler County Commissioners
We, the undersigned residents of Daytona North, firmly believe in fair and equitable treatment for all Flagler County taxpayers. We are concerned about the current assessment being imposed upon us and the disproportionate charges in relation to the work being carried out. We believe that the assessment is unnecessary and fails to accurately reflect the services provided.
We urge our fellow community members to actively engage in this matter by attending the County Commission meeting on September 6th at 5:00pm. This meeting will involve a crucial vote that will determine the fate of this assessment. We encourage everyone to express their sentiments and present factual evidence in a respectful and composed manner.
We acknowledge that it takes three votes to prevent an increase and/or abolish this assessment. We appreciate the support of those who stand alongside us in this endeavor.
Ultimately, we believe that responsible governance should not hinge on perpetually increasing taxes due to budgetary constraints. As Flagler County taxpayers, we acknowledge that the services provided to us have fallen short of our expectations. The lack of mosquito services and inconsistent trash collection are just a few examples of areas needing improvement. Recent attempts to pave roads, without proper maintenance of existing ones, have left us questioning the necessity of these projects.
We firmly request your support by signing this petition to present a united front at the meeting on September 6th. Let our voices resonate as we strive to prevent a rise in property taxes and advocate for effective and prudent use of our resources.
As a tight-knit country community, we cherish the unique bond we share with our neighbors and the sense of belonging that comes from living in Daytona North. Our community's strength lies in its people, and we are determined to uphold our close connections and preserve the essence of what makes us special. By signing this petition and joining us on September 6th, you are not just supporting a cause; you are safeguarding the spirit of our neighborhood. Let's stand together to ensure that our community remains the warm, welcoming, and tightly united country haven that we hold dear.
