Petition to Enforce Litter Laws and Fines during Spring Break in Miami Beach

Petition to Enforce Litter Laws and Fines during Spring Break in Miami Beach
The Issue
Spring Break is destroying Miami Beach.
Spring Breakers are trashing and littering our beaches and sidewalks, as well as causing further irreparable pollution and damage to some of the most valuable natural resources in Miami Beach.

THE SOLUTION: The Mayors Office says enforcement of the cities Litter fines are un-enforceable due to out of towners with no property in Miami Dade County, which the fines can be levied against.
After repeated requests to act from numerous environmental groups, the City has failed to develop or implement any solutions for this problem. In fact, due to the high volume of rowdy crowds, sanitation and enforcement department workers were told to stay out of the highly populated party areas on the beach, for their safety. WHAT?!
YOUR TAX DOLLARS HARD AT WORK: Because of the unsafe work conditions for Sanitation Department workers, positions which are paid for with your tax dollars, Locals are then given no option but to go out and clean the beaches and take responsibility, since the city does not have the resources or methods to enforce active laws.
LOCALS: Let's take back Miami Beach, IMPLORE our Mayor to ENFORCE the Laws in place.
URGE our Mayor to either put an end to this madness or enforce Fines, Staff Up and Evolve Spring Break into a reasonable and manageable event that benefits our beaches and natural environment. Locals deserve better, our beaches deserve better.
