As the students of Mr Moore's Class, we are deeply concerned about the continued use of animals in scientific research and testing. Extensive research and documented evidence have shown that alternative methods, such as in vitro testing and computer modeling, not only offer more accurate results but also spare countless animals from unnecessary suffering. It is alarming to note that a significant percentage of animals subjected to testing do not survive the process, with estimates suggesting that up to 50% of animals may die as a result of experimentation. The amount of deaths that occured last year  was more than 110 million. Today, animal testing primarily occurs in the development of cosmetics and household goods such as Brands like MAC cosmetics, Garneir, Colgate,Revlon, Dior, and Vaseline, where animals like rabbits, mice, and rats endure various experiments to test the safety of these products with mice and rats being 95%  of laboratory animals that die. Animal testing often yields results that do not effectively translate to human health outcomes, leading to misguided research paths. The conditions animals endure in laboratories can be cruel and inhumane.

With your help of signing our petition against animal testing, we will call upon governments, research institutions, and pharmaceutical companies to prioritize and invest in alternative methods. By doing so, we can put an end to the unnecessary harm inflicted upon animals in the name of science, while advancing research that is both ethical and scientifically achieving.
