Petition to End Aspin Discrimination: No More Breed Bias

Petition to End Aspin Discrimination: No More Breed Bias
The Issue
Aspin, also known as Asong Pinoy, are native Filipino dogs that should be treated equally and with respect, which is why this petition aims to raised awareness of their rights. For many years, Aspins have been seen as unvalued and dirty, simply because they don't meet the standards of purebred dogs. Despite the common perception that they are unlovable, these Aspins are actually loyal and protective. Regardless of breed, we think all animals should be treated with the same amount of love, care, and respect.
Our purpose is to advocate for Aspin, who are frequently discriminated against in favor imported dog breeds. We were committed to this cause after seeing how these clever and devoted dogs are frequently overlooked in our society. At the University of San Agustin, we intend to campaign for fellow students for better understanding that aspins deserve to be treated properly, as well as to develop activities to support their adoption.
This advocacy aims to inform and persuade others to not discriminate Aspin dogs in our country nut to love, respect, and treat them well. Just like the campaign of Ms. Heart Evangelista "Have a Heart for Aspins" #AdoptdontShop
- Aspins are usually the last choice to be adopted due to the notion that foreign breeds are superior
- They are looked down upon as stray dogs and somewhat discriminated against due to them mostly flooding the streets
- Aspins are often perceived to be aggressive and untrained however most times this is simply the result of them being abused or mistreated
- Aspins are also one of the most low-maintenance breeds which adapt well to Philippine climate, have high immunity, and require only basic grooming
- Oftentimes when Aspins are adopted they are used as guard dogs in most Filipino households as they are known to be loyal and resilient
ASPINS are the most low-maintenance canines and have been mistreated in some regions of the Philippines because of their breed. Please help us defend the right of every ASPIN!! We sincerely hope that everyone in the nation will understand the value of all dogs, regardless of breed, by signing this petition. Make our opinions known and influence the community. Your contribution will help convince the society of the Philippines to eliminate this breed discrimination. Since ASPINS are as worthy of love and care as any other dog breed, we want to set a positive example for everyone to value each ASPINS and help them fight for their rights.
