I am the owner of multiple abused or neglected animals, and it hurts me to see what these people do to them. My cat Max was taken from us by a stroke last year.When we got him, he was filthy, covered in oil, and severely overweight, I'm talking 15 pounds heavier than the healthy amount. I also have a dog, Maddy, who was formerly beaten and neglected for days without food or water. She came to us with sigeret burnes on her back and head and covered in her droppings, which were eating away at her fur and skin. She was afraid of my father for years, thinking he would hurt he, and her former owners were my knowledge, never punished. We need to stop acting like this is a small problem. Thousands of pets and animals are being beaten and killed every day, and we need to stop. These monsters can not be let off with a slap on the wrist; they need to be punished.
