As a student at Clear Creek Amana High School, it has been made aware to me that this school has fallen well below par on matters such as Gender Inclusivity, LGBTQIA+ support systems, Pronoun recognition and the freedom to use pronouns professionally. I speak for not only myself, but much of the student body and faculty when I say that inclusivity is essential to not only the safety and health of the people at CCA, but also this school's public image. Ask yourself this, Do we really want to be known as the homophobic or otherwise unsupportive school? Or do we want to be revered for our inclusivity and acceptance of LGBTQIA+ people in our district? This is an issue that urgently needs attention. And this petition should be but the first step to getting this issue resolved.
