In honor of her ability to be a pioneer in a male dominated industry (Radio), Mimi blessed the airways of the Philly tristate area on W.D.A.S FM for more than 40 years, and above all her incredible contributions to the innovation of the hip hop culture.
The Hip Hop Library combined with the Philadelphia hip hop community is petitioning to rename the 6100 block of Vine Avenue in Philadelphia Pennsylvania to Mimi Brown Way/Street. This street has been chosen is because it is the block of which Mimi Brown was born.
