Help Protect Animals and Create Compassionate Community Events
We are calling on the Yucca Valley Town Council to consider adopting an ordinance prohibiting rodeos and rodeo events within the Town of Yucca Valley.

Rodeos are often presented as entertainment, but many of the activities involved—including bucking events, roping, and other events that require animals to perform under stressful conditions—raise serious concerns about animal welfare. Animals should not be subjected to fear, stress, injury, or potential suffering for entertainment.

Yucca Valley has the opportunity to support community events that bring people together without using animals in activities that may place them at risk.

We are asking the Yucca Valley Town Council to:
Consider adopting an ordinance prohibiting rodeos and rodeo events within Yucca Valley;
Review the animal-welfare concerns associated with rodeo activities;
Listen to the concerns of Yucca Valley residents and community members;
Encourage humane, family-friendly events that do not use animals for entertainment; and
Give residents an opportunity to publicly discuss this issue.
