A happy New Year to all who’ve “liked” the “Time to Stop Running” Facebook page, who’ve got the book, read a borrowed copy, downloaded the e book edition, shared a post about it, or read any part of it online.

While it’s great to learn that so many animal protection people have shown an interest I’d be even happier if it struck a chord with readers who have no involvement in animal related campaigns or any special interest in the ethical issues that drive such campaigns.

It would be heartening to win over some of the vast body of people presently unconcerned or completely indifferent to the plight of the non-human species with which we share this planet.

My hope is that maybe the storyline will inspire compassion for animals and help to expose, in an oblique way, the horrors that humans inflict on other sentient beings.
